On July 27,2010, while on my way into work, I was almost hit by an older man driving a newer white Tacoma. Evidently he missed the fact that the four red lights aimed in his direction meant he should STOP!!! I was at a stop at the end of the I-395 East Exti 79 ramp at 7:30 am. When I got the green light, I was to turn left onto Rt. 163. Thank goodness for ABS and a quick glance to the right. The jerk in the Tacoma (CT Plate C3-7036) never even considered stopping for the light, and had to be going in excess of 30 miles per hour. If I had pulled out, I am pretty sure he would have totalled my car. SLOW DOWN AND STOP WHEN IT IS YOUR TURN TO STOP!!!!

Awful, impatient driver on I-91 South around 9am between exits 14 and 12.

I was traveling at about 60-65 mph in the middle lane behind a tractor trailer. This horrible, dangerous driver was in the right lane next to me in a black Ford Explorer (older model). He was frustrated with the driver in front of him, in the slow lane mind you, going about 50-55 mph. With a tractor trailer in the middle lane, and him stuck behind the slow driver in the right lane, he decided to pass him on the right in the breakdown lane.

I don't care if you're transporting your own severed finger to the hospital, there is absolutely NO excuse for this type of driving. A menace to all.

I was crossing the street and this psychotic woman was pulling out of the Constitution Plaza parking garage in downtown Hartford. I was already half way across the street as she pulled onto the street with about 20 ft between her car and myself. Instead of slowing to allow me to finish crossing the street, she sped up, gunned it in fact, with her side mirror hitting the side of my hip. The imbecile proceeded to speed off onto the nearby highway ramp without any regard to the fact that she had hit a pedestrian.

 Stop tailgating people at 60+ mph! You recklessly did that for several minutes, then finally passed, then took off at what looked like 75mph down the Route 7 Connector (northbound) at 5:15pm tonight, Oct 14th. What was the hurry? You got stuck at the light at the endof the connector along with the other two speeders that clumped right along with you. Sheesh.

Well where do I begin so much to say. First off people are driving more crazy these days. They speed, tailgate, pull out right in front of you, and run red lights. If you are one of those drivers you should be so ashamed of yourself, what nerve and it really makes me so upset. Also I have to complain about people who drive motorcycles because just the other day I was driving and this fool was right on my bumper and then he passed me, they speed on those things and I suppose if your driving slow that gives you the right to pass someone hell no! Stop driving crazy on those things. People out there really need to learn how to drive whether its a car or motorcycle. If you drive crazy your a big asshole.

 Ok, how many Ct. people out there have to drive into RI to work or have had a bad experience with a car from RI? Yah I know...everyone in every state says so & so has the worst drivers in the country but how many states can claim that it's been documented? Dhhhh! That's right...RI! I've been driving into Cranston to work for 28 friggin years and it never fails to amaze me how stupid, clueless and oblivious people can be when it comes to what can be such an easy & fun thing to do like driving. Worst offense? "TURN SIGNALS" or the lack of them...Next? Driving in the wrong lanes ie. everyone in the left lane while the right lane is empty! And a 4-way stop? Forget it! Yield signs? If they have one, you better slam on your brakes or you'll get the finger. Ahhh, enough for now......getting a headache.

  Ever notice how oblivious people are these days? Having a 70 mile a day commute into RI., the state with the worst drivers (actually documented) I constantly ask myself "How can anyone be so completely unaware of what is going on around them?"

 Well, just go into any grocery store to see the whole senario on a smaller scale...When somebody has to stop, why do they do it right in the middle of the isile? While yaking on cells phones, why do they expect you to move out of their way, even if that means you have to go to the "left" of the aisle? Why do they blindly charge around corners? (got to go...back later)

I don't think a quick litterbug story warrants a Flag, so here's a simple rant/rave about it....

This is for the driver of the black Nissan Altima with CT license 624-RLM who was on I-84 West in Hartford on 11/4/08 at about 7:15 AM.  Along with the rest of us, you were stuck on the Bulkley Bridge due to a 3 car accident just outstide the Hartford Tunnel. 

I was in the SUV right behind you and witnessed you first sending your cigarette butt out the window, then throwing what appeared to be the cigarette pack wrapper of your next pack out the window.  Come on lady, the world is dirty enough (especially in Hartford!) - we don't need you adding to the mess!! 

I noticed you had a handicapped placard hanging from your mirror.  Just because you're handicapped doesn't mean you have to act like a retard!  Would it have killed you to use the ashtray for your butt and keep the trash in your car until you got some place where you could throw it into a proper trash recepticle??? 

Next time, please use your head for something other than a hat rack!

 We've all been tailgated, I'm sure we've all tailgated someone, but there's tailgating and then there's aggressive dangerous tailgating, like you see on TV movies. Today I experienced one of those. A man (I won't call him a gentleman as he's certainly NOT one) was driving a rather pricey black BMW (CT plates, alas, did not catch them) and was doing that kind of extreme pull-right-up-to your-bumper tailgating. I drove down the road  (Wilton, CT) and decided to turn in the next turn I saw just to get the jackass off my back. I did notice as I was turning that this gray-haired guy also made an obscene gesture. My only deduction is that this guy works in finance and lost money in the markets. Jerk.

If anyone else is on Route 15S, please be advised that a male driver in a dodge caravan cut off 2 people, causing them to break incredibly fast and swerve a bit almost hitting my car with my 2 boys in it.  I caught up with him to get his plate # and he gave me the finger and kept flapping his arms like a bird.  Please be careful to stay away from drivers who think they can do whatever they want on the road at the expense of other drivers & passengers.  LOSER!!!  

This morning, blond bimbo came onto the highway high rate of speed, cut behind a school bus in the right lane, across to the car space that wasn't in front of me in the center lane, forcing me into the merging left lane. I slammed on my brakes and swerved to the left, she sped on, tailgating for the next 7 miles until the highway split north and south. Plate photo taken, CT 272MEE

There are several cars who use this exit ramp light as a racetrack when it turns green and I've been keeping a list of the worst offenders.  Top of the list, dark-haired female in a silver Honda Oddysey minivan, License plate 723-SBU, who repeatedly swerves to change lanes last minute in order to get in front of whatever car is in front of her.  Once again this morning, she was behind me and when the lanes merged into one, decided she needed to be in front of me, so at the last minute, she swerved and accelerated so fast that if I didn't slam on my brakes, she would have run me off the road.  She gets a crazed look to her so it's also a bit scary.  I SO wish police would monitor this exit ramp even once in a while and catch her in the act before she comes across someone who doesn't slam on their brakes and cost someone their life!
