My brakes saved his life
Monday, March 03, 2008
Driving twoards downtown Freeport on Rt. 1, in front of the "Big Indian", this kid pulls out of the parking lot without stoping less then 50ft in front of me as I was going between 45-50mph. In 10 years driving, I have never had to hit my breaks so hard before! I had to swerve into the oncoming traffic lane and skidded to a halt less then two inches from this kids driver side door! He stopped and just staired at me, he looked under 18, and then he just took off down Rt. 1 as if nothing happened!
I went right after him and took down his plate number, calling ahead to the Freeport police. I dont know if they got him or not. I intend to go back to that parking lot and see if he works in any of the shops there. What really shook me up was that if I reacted even a second or two less, this kid would be dead. His plate # was 5002 NZ.

GARDINER
Two students' vehicles clocked at 134, police say
A lot of speedometers top out at 120 mph, but Maine State Police say they clocked a pair of Massachusetts college students doing 134 along Interstate 295 in the Gardiner area.
Using laser equipment, troopers spotted a 2008 Mercedes SUV and a 2008 Volkswagen GTI just north of Cobbossee Stream. The vehicles were pulled over and the drivers, both Babson College students, were cited for criminal speed.
Police said the men then proceeded to the mountains for a weekend of skiing at Sugarloaf.
They should have been put in jail and cars inpounded, let rich mommy and daddy come to Maine and bail them out!
Typical mass-hole comes to Maine and thinks it is their personal playground,

Nice Car!
Monday, February 12, 2007
While travelling in Maine I noticed a very Patriotic car. It was a stretch limo painted in Red, White, and Blue American flag design. I saw this car near the Richmond/Gardiner area of South Central Maine. Does anyone know who it may belong to? I would love to get a closeup picture of the car and talk to the driver.
